The Osler Award

The prestigious Osler Award is the highest honour that the CSIM bestows on individuals in recognition of extraordinary professional contributions and achievements over the course of a career. It is presented annually to physician(s) who demonstrate excellence in achievement in the field of general internal medicine, either in clinical practice, research, medical education, or specialty development.

This is a lifetime achievement award. Nominees are physicians licensed to practice medicine in Canada, in community or University practice, who, in the tradition of Sir William Osler, exemplify the best in medicine. The successful candidate(s) will be announced at the CSIM Annual Scientific Meeting, in the Canadian Journal of General Internal Medicine, and our website (www.csimonline.com).
